Innovation Manager is a new and exciting role in Sisk which has been
introduce as part of our digital transformation plan. This role is
part of Digital Project Delivery (DPD) team and will support the
business and projects in testing and implementing construction
innovative technology. The role will receive a versatile experience in
integrating and educating new systems and procedures into current
complex project delivery processes.
Reporting line into the Director - Strategy & Performance Key
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management of DPD/IT Projects and lead meetings on a regular
basis. Work closely with Project teams and central function to
identify and analyse gaps and develop new ideas in using innovative
techs to improve day to day project delivery process Supports the
business and projects in assembling, testing and manging selected
construction innovative techs Develops clear Implementation plan and
progress monitoring methods for trialling and using selected
construction innovative techs Supports developing progress reports and
business case for PMO and board approval Brainstorms with the DPD team
to discover new solutions and approaches to old problems.
Works closely with project teams to trial and upskill the staff in the
new systems and procedures Evaluates the progress of innovation and
prepare progress reports on the use of selected construction
innovative techs Supports the work winning team in embedding
innovative ideas and best practices in the tenders and interviews.
Develop a network of contacts with external vendors and companies to
explore latest cutting-edge technologies and foster suitable
partnerships Formulate effective new ideas and innovative strategies
for product development, marketing, branding, or business
opportunities.
Monitors research and development of other organizations to spot
trends in innovation and best practices Captures and shares best
practices and case studies across the company through iSite, events
and other opportunities. Works closely with IT team to ensure
technical limitations are identified and resolved Work closely with
the legal function and commercial team to support the implementation
of the innovative tech Travels frequently between business units in
UK, Ireland and across Europe to support central functions and
projects Experience &
SKILLS:
High level understanding of BIM and Digital Construction
_EXPERIENCE WITH_ R&D funding application schemes in UK and across
Europe Extensive understanding of construction innovative techs and
the potential use cases Board understanding of marketing, Customer
Experience (CX) and project controls Broad understanding of data
analytics and architecture Desirable Experience in business
intelligent platforms (e.g. Power BI) Proactive and able to work
according to strategic direction Excellent reporting, communication
and presentation skills Significant experience in management,
prioritisation, balancing competing demands and delivering in line
with strategic objectives Experience and awareness of governance,
financial management and risk management
_ABILITY TO_ build relationships with key customers and stakeholders
both internally and externally
_EXPERIENCE OF_ coaching and developing project teams
_ABILITY TO_ motivate others to deliver and Proven track record in
team management
_ABILITY TO_ work under pressure whilst always keeping aligned to our
ethos and strategic objectives Highly motivated self-starter with the
ability to offer proactive support
_QUALIFICATIONS_ & Training: A recognised Honours Degree in
construction, engineering, Architecture or equivalent areas
Understanding of BIM and the software requirements and output
Experience in working on construction site is desirable A background
in product and research development, system architecture mapping and
IT is an advantage Working previously in Innovation projects is
desirable Construction software and hardware training will be provided
